The source bundled distributed with the JDK is ok to download. I'm not
familiar with the new source pacakge or its license. However, looking at
Sun's code is probably a bad idea. At least the areas where you plan on
working on a clean room implementation.

Which license? The Sun Community license or whatever they are calling it?
Paul, did anyone ever take a look at that? We know it's not free, but it
doesn't put restrictions on people working on clones, does it?
