Yes, I'm currently working on getting Batik building on GNU Classpath. That involves first implementing javax.imageio.plugins.jpeg. Once I have it building I'm going to work on getting its testsuite results to 100%. I think that will be a very good test of our headless Java2D implementation. Once that's done I'll rework the X window-backed Graphics2D code. It's a big job so bear with me.
