We were recently informed by the NAC BU at Cisco that 4.9.2.8 is not supported, strictly speaking, on a 4.9.1 environment. I'm not sure that this is causing your issue but wanted to share this important detail that we recently discovered. For WindowX the 4.9.1.6 is the current release and Windows8 is 4.9.1.13. For other OS/NAC Agent support the link below should help.

Thanks, Ryan From: Cisco Clean Access Users and Administrators [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Keith Weller Sent: Friday, February 22, 2013 9:03 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Student laptops failing CCA requirements We have been having quite a few instances where students' laptops will fail either Windows Update requirements or antivirus / antivirus update requirements in the last few months, even though they are up to date on both of those items. Uninstalling and reinstalling the NAC agent seems to fix the problem, but I'd like to know why it's happening. Has anyone else seen this problem? We are on 4.9.1 on the CAM, Windows NAC agent 4.9.2.8. Keith Weller Dakota Wesleyan University Windows_Updates_Requirement Problem Details: Cisco Clean Access is failing Windows Update Requirements checks even though the user's computer has all updates applied. If we uninstall and then reinstall CCA NAC agent, then the checks succeed and allows the student to proceed. The failing checks are these pasted below. The user has IE9, and the file kernel32.dll does exist, so these are false readings. o Failed Checks: pc_IE8_0, Registry Check [\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Version starts with 8.0] pc_Win7_32, File Check [$SYSTEM_ROOT\syswow64\kernel32.dll does not exist ]
