I agree it sounds like vandalism - forcing users to log in before allowing them to change things is probably a good idea.
If we did that, would it also be reasonable to stop forcing you to solve a simple math equation every time that you change something? Even though I have never changed a link in CBLFS, it ALWAYS asks me to solve a simple math equation since it thinks that I added or altered a link. - Jonathan Davis
