Greetings,

We need to get beyond current udev.

Bvl in clfs-support has built eudev, but I want to know if this is a drop in replacement of Udev.

Meaning, can we remove udev and use Eudev and not change current configure and make commands. I read about the Gentoo fork way back when Udev was merged with Systemd, but never followed up with it.

Sincerely,

William Harrington

Hi

I used https://bitbucket.org/braindamaged/udev for a while , which worked fine for me at the 195 release level

until i switched to systemd!,

but its now unmaintained and the author suggests eudev, but have had no experience with that version
