If you were to have compiled CLFS under one kernel - say the 2.6.17.13 of 1.0.0 - and then decide that you wanted a newer kernel - say 2.6.18 or 2.8 or whatever newer kernel it may be, do you have to rebuild EVERYTHING, or is it possible to simply swap in the new linux headers and the new kernel and be okay?
If not, what do you have to rebuild? Glibc? Everything? It's not clear to me what relies on the linux headers. If it weren't for those, I would think that swapping in a new kernel wouldn't be an issue since the kernel is added last, but I would think that anything that relied on the linux headers would have to be rebuilt. - Jonathan Davis _______________________________________________ Clfs-support mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cross-lfs.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/clfs-support
