The wget list from BLFS includes the 7.1 versions of the packages.
And even if it didn't, you can get them from
http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/X11R7.1/src/ instead of the
http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/individual/ which CBLFS lists.
The X11R7.1 contains the versions of the packages when 7.1 was
released. The individual contains all of the versions going back to
7.0 and up to the most recent. If you're using the packages from
individual and taking the most recent, then you're pretty much reduced
to trial and error to find out which packages are too new. I know
that there were a few cases where I had to go to an older version of a
package because the newest one didn't play nicely with the other
packages. A prime example was Mesa. I tried 6.5.1, but the current
xserver doesn't work with it and I had to go back to the 6.5 version
listed in CBLFS.
If you want to play it safe, just grab the files from X11R7.1 and
shouldn't have any versioning problems whatsoever. Of course if you
do so, remember to install the patches listed in CBLFS.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice Jonathan. I was downloading individual
packages so that I can save some of my bandwidth :) and I can have only the
packages I need. eg. I don't need the xscreensaver and like ( because I
don't use screen saver). Neverthless. I will try by just downloading all the
files.
Thanks again.
