A quick update: …thanks to the generosity and otherwise amazing character of the Clojure community, the 2011 Conj scholarship fundraiser is over two- thirds of the way to its goal.
To those that have already donated: thank you so very, very much. To those that haven't donated yet: please consider doing so, and help to enable a (undergraduate student!) lead dev of the core.logic and core.match libraries travel to and speak at the Conj. Finally, I neglected to mention in my first message: as an added incentive, at the end of the fundraiser, the three people with the largest donations will each receive a copy of my forthcoming Clojure book, Clojure Programming[1] from O’Reilly, signed by me (and probably my co-conspirators as well, Christophe Grand and Brian Carper). Please help if you can: http://cemerick.com/2011/09/20/2011-clojure-scholarship-help-send-ambrose-to-the-conj/ Cheers, - Chas [1] http://oreilly.com/catalog/0636920013754/ On Sep 20, 10:13 am, Chas Emerick <cemer...@snowtide.com> wrote: > I wanted to let the list know about a 'scholarship' fundraiser I've started > for this year's Conj: > > About a year ago, I had the distinct privilege of having a front-row seat > when the generosity of the Clojure community (and others!) helped Anthony > Grimes (aka Raynes) attend the 2010 Clojure Conj.
