Pedestal was developed by Cognitect and I would assume they use it on many of their consulting projects. Since future support appears be a major concern for you (rightly so), Pedestal probably fulfills that requirement better than anything else out there right now. Even if you don't need all the features it offers, it's worth considering building your server-side stack around it for that reason alone.
