It shows how to pass data to the test by using a dynamic var, which is what we are using to track the connection, which is what I'm interested in passing in to the test. If my solution to use a dynamic var to track the connection is dirty and unacceptable, so is that one. The only difference I can think of is, using a dynamic var only for tests dirties only tests but using a dynamic var to track connections is consistent across the code-base. -- J.
