Hi, Have you written a mobile application with Om? If so, how did you handle the iOS's 300ms tap delay?
I've been exploring approaches to tackle exactly this, and so far here's what I understood. React 1.0 promises to ship a TapEventPlugin (currently not available). Until then, you may use an unofficial repo, https://github.com/zilverline/react-tap-event-plugin. That repo assumes javascript-specific build infrastructure ("require" from npm), so it is not immediately clear how to integrate it with Clojurescript. Fastclick.js is a common recommendation in javascript-land, but compatibility with React.js is not evident, as seen here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24335821/can-i-fastclick-reactjs-running-in-cordova Personally, I haven't had much luck with it. The last example on that Stack Overflow page has a neat solution involving React mixins and Hammer.js integration. There is an example in the Om repository for doing mixins, but my feeling is that it's lacking (it could be my understanding that is lacking). In Om, it is not clear how to call functions defined in the mixin from children. I know Prismatic's om-tools comes with its own implementation, but I have not tried that. Finally, React allows to work with touch events by calling initializeTouchEvents prior to loading components, which paves the way for implementing your own fast tap touch solution on iOS. Core.async could come in handy here, but it would be nice to see a generic, reusable, community supported component.
