Ehm...I think it's the latest live stable (the ISO), from this page:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115473&package_id=221066&release_id=683453

> to restore the image, and the image was restored successfully,

No. Actually, at last stage of image restoration from live cd, after
reaching 100%, I received the error message:
"Running: grub-install-no-floppy-root-directory=/tmp/hd_img.QiFQFv /dev/sda

grub-probe: error: Cannot open '/boot/grub/devise_map'

/usr/sbin/grub-install: line 374: [: =: unary operator expected"

After the last line the restoration just stopped, after a while, the
only thing I could think at the time, was pressing ctrl-alt-del and
restart.

Yes.

THANKS AGAIN Steven!!!
I'm copying the menu.lst below:

# menu.lst - See: grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
# grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
# grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
# and /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.

## default num
# Set the default entry to the entry number NUM. Numbering starts from 0, and
# the entry number 0 is the default if the command is not used.
#
# You can specify 'saved' instead of a number. In this case, the default entry
# is the entry saved with the command 'savedefault'.
# WARNING: If you are using dmraid do not use 'savedefault' or your
# array will desync and will not let you boot your system.
default saved

## timeout sec
# Set a timeout, in SEC seconds, before automatically booting the default entry
# (normally the first entry defined).
