Clonezilla-live-1.2.9-3-686-pae.iso looks very much like 1.2.8-46-i686.iso from a user interface point of view. During this test the only inputs to Clonzilla were: enter key, space bar and number zero to terminate/power off. This test was performed on my HP DX2250 - I did not test on my HP D530 because I believe the results would be the same. 1.2.9-3-686-pae.iso passed the MD5SUMS check and was installed on a USB thumb drive using Tuxboot.
During the Image copy phase everything went well until I entered zero to shutdown. Both USB drive lights - thumb drive and external hard drive - flashed for about 10 seconds and then a msg "Trying to unmount high speed......." was issued followed by a power down. I have not seen this activity with any prior versions of Clonezilla I have used/tested. During the Image restore phase everything went well until it started messing around with Grub. Then the following messages were issued followed by a never ending wait until I manually powered down the cpu. Those messages were: Found Grub 1 installed in the restored OS Checking Grub-install version........ Running: Grub-install --no-floppy --root-directory= /tmp/hd_img.izvwei /dev/sdd Clonezilla then entered a never ending wait I eventually pushed power off to shutdown and booted the restored Fedora 14 hard drive which did not fully boot but resulted in a Grub prompt.
