Generally when theres an issue like this where you have to remove software manually theres a few routes...
1)reinstall the software, then uninstall it 2)kill it manually, and kill all related stuff in the registry. 3)stop using windows ;) 3 is the best, but not realistic sometimes. Method 1 is probably a simpler/cleaner method. Option 2 sucks, but if you have to, deleting everything powerquest in your registry should be safe, although that will likely kill your PM8 install, which is easy enough to fix. None of those keys _should_ cripple xp though. <--no warranty on that sentence, we ARE talking windows... When youre done it might not hurt to run Norton registry scanner if you have it to clean out invalid entries.
