Hey Group,

I've been mulling over the website and wondering what kinds of things we
should have there. Here is some of the stuff we do have:

*meeting announcements, rotated out as they get old
*announcements for things like the AGM, InstallFests and Convergence
*Sponsor List (actually in two places) we have a list on the right of our
sponsors with links to their websites, the second bit (on the left under CLUG
Resources) goes into detail about the company and what they have done for us,
what if any discount they offer our Tier Two members.
*we have a quick survey, changed periodically
*we have the full set of Bylaws as ratified and accepted by the Alberta
Government
*book reviews for O'Reilly and Prentice Hall PTR
*link to the Mailing List for sign-up, administration or removal
*FAQ's for things like "What is CLUG?", "How does membership work?"
*Distribution Library
*Nube content
*some of the archived mail list messages
*content from the monthly presentations

So I was wondering what sort of things you wanted to see on the site.
Personally I have been thinking of content that deals with:

*Tips: KDE, Gnome, Office apps, CLI, GPG/PGP public key encryption, etc.
*Workshops
*Advocacy
*Success stories/deployment
*mentoring/tutoring

The Executive has been long pondering what we should do to retain or promote
interest in CLUG from members of the 'old guard'. These are folks who have
been using Linux/Open Source/Free Software for a long time. We value these
individuals and want to know what we can do to keep them actively involved.
It has been said that CLUG seems to be catering to the new folks
predominantly. While I disagree with this statement, it raises concern with
us. Perhaps we are not making it as appealing for those people. Are the
topics we have presentations on 'old hat' for them?

We try and have a broad spectrum of topics for folks so that there is
something for everyone. It is a constant goal of ours. If we have too much
in-depth stuff we lose the interest of the new folks. If we have too much
simple, beginner things, then we lose the interest of the folks who "have
been there and done that".

Any input you have would be welcomed.
