I noted a problem last night that required me to send a new message via a
reply to an existing thread.

I had posted a message regarding a possible attack on my web server, and got
a reply indicating the message would be posted to the list once reviewed by
a moderator. I've never seen this type of message before, so assumed the
list server is having a minor issue. Of course, I checked the address I
sent the message to and such, but saw no reason for the response I got. I
still haven't seen that message on the list - I'll repost it tonight if I
don't see it by then.

So, to get around this issue with my next message, I replied to an existing
message but deleted the message and changed the subject line. So I guess
I'm to blame for Mike's post. However, I don't see this being a major
issue - especially with the message in question which was just a link to a
news article on open source.

Seeing as a bunch of requests are being made, may I request that all users
on the list keep in mind that we all have different ways of viewing it? If
something in particular isn't suitable for the way I view/use the list, that
doesn't mean that same thing isn't suitable for someone else who may be
using different tools.

Shawn

Hey All,
        I have a quick request, could people please not reply to an existing
thread to start a new topic. It really screws up those of us who are
using a threaded MUA.

Thanks
