I assumed I can install the 32bit version, but we really should go with the 64bit. I'm not sure I want to try and do an upgrade like this - something tells me I'll be better off doing a native 64bit install....
So why don't you just buy a copy of 9.2 x86_64? Oh wait I know. :P
Seriously though your contact should have a set of cds/dvds incase they need to re-install. It would be a lot easier to install from the CDs and I don't believe the 64Bit version is big permium over the 32bit version any more. Trying to do an install via FTP eventually becomes a loosing prospect if you spend too many hours doing it. Then again how quickly will Novell Canada get you copy.
Yeah you don't want to attempt upgrading from 32bit to 64Bit. It may be possible but would be annoying probably take alone time to get everything right. You could install the 32Bit version, set the server to download the 64Bit files to a partition on the server then reinstall using the files on that partition.
Haven't really been able to test how fast the rackmount is yet - need to install an OS first.. :)Well you could just throw FC3 on quick. Even installing off the net via HTTP takes only like 4-5 hours or could be faster. UofC has a mirror. It would give you a good idea of the performance.
