This probably isn't what you are looking for, but your email reminded
me of something.

I had heard of a portable, handheld, gaming device that ran Linux that
was made in Korea around a year ago. They were coming out with a new
version in a few months, but I forgot about it until now. I was
meaning to buy one (and I just did right now... I can't wait!) but it
slipped my mind. The LCD on my iPAQ just broke (note to self: hard
shelled case next time...) and I was looking for something else to
play the odd game and song on. At the same time, I wanted something I
could hack around with (I used to do graphics demos as a kid,) and
this device looks like it will satisfy my needs.

It does have a development kit, but I don't know what it entails yet,
nor do I think this was what you were looking for. I guess I'll see
in a few days its worth the $270 or not :-)
