That would make things more clear.  But, you did figure out that the
binary distro doesn't have any source in it.  You knew Linux was a
Unix and just brain farted on what file you needed, right?

Perhaps don't add the world "linefeed" to the description of the file,
users necessarily wait for files in the proper format for their system,
don't we ?

But what does "Windows" mean with respect to Cygwin, MinGW, and MinGW
+ MSYS?  It means different linefeed conventions.
