I know in my case, I put myself into denial about possibly having other problems. I kind of announce to the doctors that CML is my disease, and that's that. I have to be hit on the head to pay attention to other things. Although my father had an aortic aneurysm, I surely never thought of such a problem occurring with me. When I saw a test that said mild arteriosclerosis in aorta, I was amazed. The primary care doctor sent me for an ultrasound--which was just fine, and I don't have to have the test for two years. Guess what I'm saying is that I don't want to own up to all the genetic stuff--cholesterol, heart disease and all that. No, I have leukemia, and that's that. But little by little I'm trying to follow through on other stuff, MJ
