Mark, I am one of those who feel my CML "just came out of the blue" I am a type A personality but feel I have always done a good job managing stress and balancing work with recreation. Exercise has always kept me on an even keel. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. I exercise on a regular basis, have always been active, and eat healthy most of the time. When I was dx I was actually somewhat mad at thinking that I have tried to do everything righ and here I am while I see others with totally unhealthy lifestyles and they are healthy.
So, to answer the question I don't think stress caused my cml nor my lifestyle, I also thought I had a good immune system since I never really got sick not even colds. So, its just a mystery to me.
