My husband, Rob, fathered a sweet, healthy baby girl while on 800 mg of Gleevec. When we found out that we were expecting, we consulted with Dr. Druker who told us that there were no known risks with fathering a child on Gleevec, but that the data are scarce. Some research indicates lower sperm motility with higher doses of Gleevec, thus perhaps lower chance of conception.
