I don't know if I understand correctly, are you saying that your cytogenetic test was negative and your FISH test was 0.4%? And if this is the case, you say that your doctor is concerned because this isn't a "zero"? If so; it's disappointing. The FISH test is not absolute nor fool proof. Depending on which type of probe they used to score the cells (either a double fusion probe or a single fusion probe) your chance of getting a false positive can be as high as 7%. This means that you could actually be zero and show upto 7% positive cells when in fact there are none. The double fusion probes are more common and more accurate than the single but even with the double, there can be a false positive rate of 2% or 3%. I feel very bad that your doctor has you upset for a result of 0.4% as this seems totally unnessary. It looks to me like you are infact zero so try not to worry. You're in CCR because by definition a Complete Cytogenetic Response is when your cytogenetic test reveals no phillies....which is what yours did!
