Hi Merv, Glad to hear that Gleevec is doing good with your blood counts. Taking Gleevec with your biggest meal of the day (whether that is lunch or dinner) might help. Some people find that certain kinds of foods are better to prevent the nausea. It shouldn't keep you up at night......although for some there has been some insomnia, but irrespective of when they take it......but you don't want to take it right before bed. You should not lie down for an hour or two, because it can cause acid reflux. If the nausea persists, you can be given something for that.......or some people also split their dose between 2 meals. If you are taking 400mg and just have the single pill, you would need to get the 100mg pills and take 2 at 2 meals. This takes a little juggling to get it right. Also, some of the early side effects like this that people have just go away with time. Good luck. Nancy C. ------------------------ Yahoo!
