Hello. I'm new to the group and have a question about the side effects of Gleevec. I've noticed that when I try and run for exercise now, my calves cramp up fairly badly after about a mile. I used to run 6-8 miles a day but now it seems like the most I can manage is 2 and half the time I walk home after the first one. I've been on 400mg gleevec for about 6 weeks now. I've tried extra stretching and more potassium in my diet but so far nothing helps and I'm getting fairly frustrated. Does anyone have any ideas that might help? I was hoping to run in a local race in March but at this rate... Thanks for any ideas. Cheers, Kat C.
