NUMBER 960 IN THE Zero Club Zavie     Doug Nau  <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to CMLHope  More options   Mar 3 Hello All, I am 31 years old, diagnosed with CML in December 2003.  I have been on 400 mg of gleevec steadily for just under 2 years and have been in cytogenic remission for 1.5 years, but am still PCR positive at just around a 3 log reduction level. I have asked my doctors about fathering a child while on gleevec and have not received a clear answer.  Despite my diagnosis, my wife (34) and I feel that its now or never to start a family. The doctors have clear evidence that a woman may have complications with a pregnancy while on gleevec, however dont have enough data to suggest if a male may have complications fathering a child.
