The issue with Tylenol has to do with its effect on liver function. The
body's system for processing Gleevec taxes the liver in some people.
Adding Tylenol can exacerbate the problem.  If you take Tylenol and
your liver tests remain good, then you won't have a problem taking it.
That said, you should heed the warning not to exceed taking 2
Extra-strength Tylenol more than 4X daily.

BTW, the same goes for alcohol, another compound that can tax the
liver.  I know people on Gleevec that drink a bottle of wine daily and
suffer no ill effects.  So as long as your liver function is normal,
not to worry about booze or Tylenol!
