Suzie I do not think you need to worry. Some variation is common, particularly in people with very low PCR numbers. There are certain labs in the world that are supposedly so good they think they can predict a relapse if the test result only doubles on 2 consecutive tests. Most CML experts think that is not routinely possible for most labs.
One suggestion that I have seen, of which I have yet to see any large amount of data, is to look for a minimum of a 10x jump with a trend to increasing % over several consecutive tests. This theory does not take into the context of someone such as your self with an extremely low BCR-ABL ratio. Your latest test result only basically doubled. For comparison, your 3/2006 to 7/2006 tripled but went back down on the next tests. I think this just reflects the variability of the testing. Wait and see what happens the next time.
