A couple of years ago, I had a problem with my A-4. I knew it was an air leak in the fuel lines somewhere, and after replacing all of the fuel lines, installing an electric fuel pump, paying a mechanic to figure it out who only did a tune up that I could have done myself, I decided to pull the fuel tank. after putting it out in the cockpit I pulled the cover with the fuel pickup tube and the tube literally fell off. A couple of cents worth of tape and the problem was cured. Those engines are so simple that the solution to any problem is usually just as simple.
