It is pretty much the boom you will find on a Beneteau 36.7, I think. I
also may have seen them on some Catalina's.

Somehow 400 dollars sticks in my head, which may have been for the boom and
gooseneck fitting. It was several years ago, give them a call and ask.

Bill,

Great Idea. Do you have any pictures of your set up and was the pricing
reasonable?

Thanks,

I just replaced the whole boom, I think it was the right move. Mine was all
boogered up with winches and crap, the outhaul was galled up so it didn't
slide -

I bought a 14 foot section from Charleston Spars, (704)597-1502 . At first
I only bought the extrusion, but then decided to get the end pieces as well,
as what they had went together very well, 4 sheaves on both ends.

I put a Harken ball bearing car on, 6:1 tackle inside for the outhaul, no
regrets.

I have an '81 C&C 36 and was wondering if anyone has ever found a boom
extension with sheaves for that vintage boom so the outhaul and reefing
lines could be routed to the very back end of the boom?

Thanks,
