Has the name been changed, I thought “baie de chaleur”

It is warmer than along the St-Lawrence river, with dominant wind from the
west and south-west it offers good sailing. The bay and the fact that water
depht is less than in the Gulf also helps to warm the water up. This is not
the Caribbean, but it is ok to go for a swim and clean the boot stripe, or
jump to wash yourself. 

 

And the name ( the Chaleur's Bay) helps to convince yourself that it´s not
that bad at all. ;)

 

It is a very nice place to sail, with many nice little marinas. Bill Connon
can confirm! Come visit some time, very friendly place!

 

It is also a good location from where to start and go to many cruising
destinations. BTW, ,i'm thinking about entering the 150 sailing challenge
from PEI to Magdalens Islands in july. Anybody on the list thinking about
that too? Guys from the maritimes?
