I have had to deal with Yahoo tech support a few times. Each time it was a
frustrating
experience in that I am fairly sure the support people did not spend more than
a couple
of seconds scanning the request before firing back a pre-written response that
had
little to do with the issue.

The change you are seeing is a method of reducing SPAM and such called DMARC
(Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) that likely
will
become fairly common.

It is unfortunate that Yahoo is fully aware that implementing DMARC will cause
huge
problems for most mail lists. The only solution that is being offered is to
block emails
from people with a Yahoo address, a pretty draconian workaround.

I have been seeing some cnc-list emails in my Gmail spam box lately, always
from Yahoo accounts.  When I checked them they always looked like
legitimate posts to the list.  I was wondering what was going on.
