I find the fastest way to do this is to use a tape measure that is sufficiently long and rigid. Extend it through the boom. Once through use electrical tape to tape the end of the reefing line to the end of the tape measure and pull it through. It doesn't take much more than a minute per line. I do this for all three of our reefing lines.
