Josh,

 

The leeward shrouds should be visibly loose when going upwind in about 10-12
kts true.  You may see a little side-to-side movement, but they shouldn't be
rattling around like crazy either.

 

I had the North rigging shop tune my rig after it went back in the boat last
month.  I will let you know what the professional job feels like when
sailing.

I've been watching my rig and actually tightened the starboard shrouds a
little to match the port...by feel.  Under what conditions should I expect
the leeward shrouds to loosen (how much wind and what angle)?  Is there a
way to decribe slack?  How loose is slack?  Visibly floppy or just feel less
stiff?
