The raw water thru hull is on the stbd side in the fwd part of the cockpit locker,(under the garbage can), it should be connected to the raw water strainer.
My C&C33ii 2GM20F has a key switch with a starter button and a T handle to choke off the engine. If you do not have this arrangement, it may have been modified. Mike Amirault C&C33ii Lovely Cruise St Margarets Bay, NS
