Hi Gary,
I don't believe the shortened bar is a big deal for anchor holding.
The extensions have more to do for getting a faster set, getting the
anchor to tip down right away.

by 3" on each side (6" total). I think this was done so it would fit
in someone's anchor locker. This looks like a good anchor but I

this being done before?
