I've been racing Wednesday nights at New Bedford YC since 2001. First on Bill Dingwell's C&C40 DK named "Zoomer" doing foredeck. Raced my 25 Mk1 on occasion, but had more fun and learned more on OPB (other peoples' boats).
The C&C 40 was retired and sold (as was my 25) so I moved to a Wednesday night one design fleet, thus no longer racing on a C&C. However, I'm still racing on a boat with a guy named Rob Ball (an Etchells), so plenty of C&C topics are discussed while sailing.. There are no plans to remove the dodger, bimini, and dinghy davits from the Landfall to go buoy racing at this time... Antoine said : "I do have the shoal draft version (4? 3") and race it every Wednesday in our club" I do too. We look forward to it all week :-) It's a great break in the middle of the week and a good place to meet like minded sailors.. -Francois Rivard 1990 34+ "Take Five" Lake Lanier, GA
