As you can see from the responses, there are several choices.  I usually
use a pin spanner that came with a Groco sea strainer.  Like Ed L. I've
also used needle nose pliers.  Google "adjustable pin pliers", "adjustable
pin wrench", "adjustable pin spanner" for more choices.
