I would only reapply gelcoat if your concerned it about the cosmetics. The
multiple coats of epoxy barrier coat will take care of the bare spots.

Be sure and put a couple shaft zincs a size too small in the spare engine
parts bin.

Yup. I got one of those somewhere. I'm going to need it next week to
reload the bearings in the 22mm traveler of the beach cat I'm restoring.
If I can't find it, I'll just use shaving cream.

I was looking at installing a Genius Gen2 20A unit. I found some good
reviews on it. Anyone have experience with this one?

I had two Guest chargers on previous boats that similarly just died. On my
current boat I installed a Charles 3-bank (I think it's 30 amp) "smart"
charger. It was expensive, but is robust. I haven't had any issues since
I installed it several years ago.

My old Guest Pro Battery Charger Model 2815 seems to have hit the
dust....it was working yesterday but today it was not....no charge going
to batteries and no lights on on the charger....'red' when it is
charging 'green' when in float mode. There is an exterior fuse which I
checked and it looks fine....maybe I should replace it just to be sure.
I have no idea how old this device is or how long they are supposed to last.

Is there anything else I could check?

However, if it has simply 'expired', any suggestions on what I might
replace it with?

Subject: Stus-List Stripping the bottom
Hey everyone.

I am in the middle of stripping the bottom paint off of my C&C 36. I
would day tjere is 30 years of bottom paint. There are no blisters juat
that muck of thr oaint was flaking off. Once done I will be doing the
barrier coat and reapplying the bottom paint. I burned through the
gelcoat in a few places while sanding.

My question is do i need to apply a coat of gelcoat to those places or will
the barrier coat protect the glass and prevent moisture intrusion.

I can honestly say this won't be a job that I will tackle again on this
boat.

Thanks
Adam
