I don't have much to add beyond what Jake said, but I bought a 35-III about a year and a half ago and have been living aboard for a little over a year. I love it.
Agree with Jake that you'll be reefing early and often, but as long as you limit it to the appropriate amount of canvas it's a really nice, balanced boat to sail. I've put plenty of people who are new to sailing on the helm in relatively heavy breeze and watched them hold a nice upwind line. I've also found it very comfortable to live on. Highly recommend this boat if you can find one in good condition. Survey tip: On mine, there were keel bolt spacers in the bilge that were made of aluminum and had gone totally soft, to the point that the keel could be pushed back and forth when the boat was hauled. I replaced those with G10 and have had no problems since, but it was a big, expensive job and something to watch out for.
