Over the past summer we have acquired 3 vessels that were no longer seaworthy and we have dismantled them. We are now offering a 1 DAY SALE of all the bits and pieces from these boats. A wise friend once opined that a boat is like a mistress: You have it because you love it. It WILL take all of your money. And it might as well be pretty. Our older C&Cs are about the best looking boats going (though I will allow that the old Swan 62 is a piece of kinetic art). A J/30 or J/105 can be fast and fun, but who ever looked at one of them at anchor and said “Damn, that’s a pretty boat.”? A friend had his Cal 29-2 was in the slip between my 38 and a friends C&C 29-2. He recently upgraded to a 35-2. Guess he’s a bit nuts, too.
