Randy, I’m surprised you got rope. From my experience with West, I would assume that if you ordered Spinnaker sheets, you would be sent new linens for the V-Berth with pictures of pretty sailboats printed on them…
Years ago in a different employment situation, I toured dyWest Marine’s warehouse facility in Hollister, CA. There is absolutely no resemblance to a marine store. PFD’s are set on pallet racks next to fenders, boom vangs, and designer sandals, with no apparent order and the folks picking orders have likely never seen a marina let alone have any knowledge of what they’re shipping. They will also stock only one of the specific item that is ALWAYS sold in pairs, just so you either need to drive to another store, or wait until it comes from their distribution center. >From what I understand, West is a great place to buy Stand up Paddleboard >accessories and Yeti coolers, but not all that helpful for the sailor.
