I had a PSS put in on my 34 thinking it was a good upgrade, but on my 34+ decided not to do it. The reason is that if not maintained properly, you can have catastrophic failure of the PSS and sink the boat. I replaced the packing with teflon on my 34+ 3 years ago and it was pretty trivial, has not been touched since and hardly even drips. The worst that can happen is more dripping and then you tighten the nuts. I recommend against it. Dave
