Looks like I'm in 'the same boat', stated sailing by racing on an old Olympic class wooden boat at the same time. Came from soaring (sail plane) when I moved to the sea shore. Here in the US I had a C&C25 from 78-92; did not consider anything else than C&C when upgrading. Moved the 25 from Marblehead MA to San Diego CA, there was no question as the west coast is thin in C&Cs.
