??? I never do that, partly because I am in the water and possibly sailing and partly because being cold doesn’t seem to hurt them. BTW – anyone switched to the electronic flare? IMHO it will pay for itself quickly, but I can’t imagine it would do anything at all as a distress signal. I once tried to use my MOB strobe to make it easier for another boat to find me in the dark and they could not pick it out from 1 mile away.
