Flooded since day 1.  But I use golf cart (or sweeper if I can get them) 6 volt 
batteries that are both inexpensive and robust.    I fortunately have the 
headroom for such batteries in the cockpit locker.  Shelf has been reinforced 
for added load.

And they stay in boat all winter.   Charge them up once in a while.

Anyone still use flooded batteries.  Looking to replace 3 weak batteries that 
are causing engine startng issues.

Are the AGM or Gel batteries worth the $$ s.
