Agree with Josh. Just tight enough so it doesn't move much if someone grabs it.
The lens on the pressure gauge on mine is so discolored and crazed I can't read the psi anyway. It's a $300 fix. I have a dinghy batten taped to it with colored tape marks. Green (light breeze), yellow (moderate breeze), red (heavy breeze), black (oh, @&%$, we're going to DIE!). I leave it at the bottom of the green. I'm guessing it's about 500 psi at the dock.
