Grease 
Elbow that is.  LOL 
I use a small electric, low pressure washer, set on med fan. 99% come up. A 
white cleaning pad and small scrub brush for stubborn areas. Very seldom do I 
use a cleaner. I do this 4 times a year. Brush and hose routinely. 
Cleaner wax twice a year on deck and hull.
