The mast collar on Imzadi has been in place for 44 years. The only modifications/work done on it has been to drill 4 #10 size holes near the periphery so rain water can leak out onto the deck and no longer gets trapped inside the raised part of the collar. I can't imagine any reason you would ever want to remove a mast collar.
