Bob, I agree and add that such control freak software should be looked at carefully if not with outright suspicion.
GPL software should be checked out first and if good enough supported by a community of users to insure excelence. RH 9.0 so far sure looks pretty secure to me 9 (iptables high on install is downright a padlocked box useful for nothing except ssh;) with many appliance like/needed applications -just one click away on install. With many control panels available by many providers RH will probably make one shortly (buy one?) Or more likely...adopt one like it it did with squirrel mail php based webmail interface and with what seems like pretty soon industry standard spamassasin spamd/spamc combo. What web appliance will RH pick? Will it be a major setback to many small GPL webconsole systems? Interesting questions. Meanwhile a Raq550 makes a pretty good sendmail server if you turn off all the SUN garbage and have a good backup system. Also secure it -linux experts only should attempt this major surgery. So how hard is it to install RH 9 on a Ra550 directly? Seems that it is pretty hard and if colocated somewhere hours away forget it. Anybody have more info on this? Best regards, G.G.
